Brian Baker has been in more great punk bands than anybody else in the history of society. From Minor Threat to Government Issue to The Meatmen to Dag Nasty to Bad Religion (and a couple of non-punk stops in between), it's darn near impossible to find a record featuring this blonde bombshell that doesn't tear rockin' ass out of melodic fast good thing. The Empire Strikes First, his fifth album with Bad Religion, hit the streets in mid-'04, at which time he was kind enough to engage in a half-hour phone interview. I unfortunately didn't realize he had a call right afterwards - I was cut off midstream before getting to several other questions I wanted to ask! Here we are getting all involved in this non-musical political discussion (with me sounding as stupid and oblivious as ever), and I never even got to ask him which album he is most proud of! Or if he knows why Graffin and Gurewitz won't stop being nogoodnicks and just re-release Into The Unknown! Or (other questions as well)! Regardless, he was a very pleasant man, and our conversation can be enjoyed below. My questions are in bold. His answers are also in bold, but a much lighter, skinnier bold.

Ryley Baker

She is an amazing girl, she isn't someone you meet everyday. She's outgoing, strong, and just a great girl. She is a kind of person who puts everyone else before herself and tries to please everyone. She stays strong for everyone around her so they won't fall apart. She is going to go far in the music industry. She knows and adores everything to do about music which is pretty cool. She always has a smile on her face, and he laugh brightens up your day. Any guy would kill to have her, she just needs to realize that. She is going to go so far in life from her personality, looks an just her presents. At times she can be sassy and stubborn but who isn't!? She deserves to be treated like a princess and nothing less, At times she even thinks she is a princess. She is one of the better people you'll meet in Vermont, also she can easily be one of the most beautiful girls from Vermont. When you get to know her, you'll never want to leave her. She is the bomb and I hope she reads this and I at least make her day. <3

A racial term for someone who swims in order to get to another country. Most commonly used towards Mexicans who swim to America, but may also refer to the Vietnamese who swim to Hong Kong during the Vietnam War to escape from Ho Chi Minh.

The wet backer has some crazy arms from all that swimming.

changing at bakerloo

Never heard this expression before, but I'd just like to point out that there is NO station anywhere in the London Underground system by the name of 'Bakerloo'.

Therefore, I can only assume that the correct phrase is in fact 'Changing At Baker Street". As at Baker Street station it IS possible to change between the Hammersmith And City (pink) and Bakerloo (brown) lines.

Travel safely now...changing at bakerloo or anywhere else you might fancy
