Get the earth wokemug. A person or a thing that’s pushing an agenda to normalize things that are not normal. The LGBTQIA+ community (no cisgender heterosexuals allowed, allies only), the false idea that there are more than two genders refusing to believe XX and XY chromosomes exist (non-binary), adding unnecessary pronouns to games, inserting or replacing a person of color into any form of media where they don’t belong or were originally white (black samurai in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, live-action The Little Mermaid), powerful women that are superior to men in every way. (A strong female character isn’t necessarily a bad thing if implemented correctly like Stellar Blade or Tomb Raider but making them untouchable and only another woman can defeat them is what makes it a problem, like the live-action Mulan). Making female characters less attractive to relate to “real women” and censoring or changing original content when making a new game or remastering a beloved classic (woman in Silent Hill 2 remake, Final Fantasy 8 or the ending in live-action Aladdin)

However, it has a different meaning in politics in United States.
In terms of right-wing politics, it means ''following an intolerant and moralising ideology'' or ''social media-fueled, leftwing political ideology.'' It is especially used against corporations that ''virtue signal''.
For the left-wing politics, it means ''alert to injustice in society''. This is the first time it was used in politics, but never been really capitalized that much by the left, until the opposition decided to use it much more frequently as a slang against their opponents.

8:30 CR understands WOKE as James Lindsay does. JL: "Communism doesn't know how." "Ruthless criticism of all that exists." CR: "It functions almost entirely on the process of negation." and he then proceeds to throb with commie-wrecker energy.
But his formulations for WOKE, while accurate, aren't as short and snappy as mine. ;)
There was a need, a few weeks ago, for a SHORT & SNAPPY definition of WOKE.
Here's one to take & run with!
"Only" to be taken in many senses.
Woke will never criticize non-European cultures; Woke will never be able to do anything by itself.
WOKE: WILL ONLY CRITICIZE EUROPE.
