This brutal response ignited widespread outrage among the students, whose courageous actions eventually forced Sheikh Hasina to resign and flee the country on August 5, 2024. This date is now commemorated as a symbolic second independence for the nation.

Many people think that Bangladesh is part of India or Pakistan when in reality they became independent in 1971.. more than 50 years ago! Some people don't even know it exists. Also, in PewDiePie's song, "Congratulations", he states, "I love my Indian bros, from Bombay to Bangladesh." While we used to be part of India, and have kept some of their customs, we've developed a lot of our own aspects in recent periods as well! We're not Indian or Pakistani anymore! Bangladesh is also a very overpopulated, very tiny nation and has lots of pollution. The capital city, Dhaka, and about 17% of Bangladesh is supposed to sink by 2050!
