When a person's actions give the illusion of doing one thing when their intent is another

when a person says I'll call you tonight, but knows that they wont, the other person assumes knowing that, that person lies, says they are probably pump-faking.

faking (fakin)

1. To call someone out to a fight and back down out of fear
2. To try to appear tough and hard but really be a little bitch on the inside
3. To use lies and false propaganda to make it seem as if you are a pimp or a G
This word is basically like the dictionary version of the word "fake" in that is has to do with appearing false as a negative act.

Faking the Snake

Fake the snake: to add in a small specific detail in order to make your lie seem more convincing.

(DrDisastor) I worked with a guy who was down on his luck. He was really a strange guy but was nice enough that I didn't think anything of him. The poor bastard would walk several miles to work but never missed a shift. A few of us would pick him up/drop him off when the weather was bad or we felt like it. One night dropping him off we got to talking about the ladies at work and who we thought were attractive. He mentions he only really likes this one girl and with a cold realistic tone and stare tells me "And if you say anything I WILL kill you.". Riiiiight, NP man your secret is safe with me.

Fast forward a few months and creep just stops showing up to work. After some light digging we find he has been arrested for kidnapping, false imprisonment, and theft of a snake. Apparently he reconnected with an ex-GF and broke into her apartment, stole her pet snake, CAME BACK, jumped her and tied her up all the while wearing a fake cop outfit. No clue how he got caught or WTF actually happened. Dude had priors and was locked up for some time for that.

(Duke__Leto) The stolen pet snake makes this story completely credible because it’s such an unnecessary and random detail in the story.
