Get the boom bammug. A slang term for Xanax (alprazolam), a prescription benzodiazepine used to treat anxiety and panic disorders. “Bams” is often used in place of Xans or Xanax in conversation, making it more discreet. The term is commonly used by bammers—people who regularly or occasionally use Xanax.
“You got any bams on you? I left mine at home.”
