Snitching

Stealing, according to the BFG. For example, taking fruit that is not yours is snitching, as is kidnapping people.

snitched

Snitched (not snitch), is used to describe someone arrested by the polis. It's an assumption that someone will tell the polis things that could make a way for other arrests. Nowadays, the word is casually used to describe an arrest.
- Have you heard about Mike? He got snitched yesterday.
- Damn! Hope he gets out in a few. He's sitting on my bark.

Lyric-snitching

Lyric-snitching is the act of incriminating yourself or others through online content, like rap lyrics or music videos. While it's not always direct evidence, it can be a critical tipping point in a criminal case, making or breaking the prosecution.

Example:
police already had his phone records and seized the drugs, but when he rapped about cooking crack in his kitchen, it was an online confession that—lyric-snitching that sealed the case against him.
Lee: Bruv, I keep seeing all these rappers getting busted for rapping about their crimes online.

Frank: Init, bruv, they don't do themselves any favours, do they? Love lyric-snitching themselves,

LOL.

Lee: Init, bruv, LOL.

Frank: LOL.

Video-snitching

Video-snitching: Is when individuals record themselves or others committing crimes—like assaults, drug dealing, or worse—and then either keep those videos on their devices or share them online, often leading to serious legal consequences when the police find them.

Example: The county Lines gang filmed themselves flaunting cash, flashing designer gear, and using burner phones—pure video-snitching—which gave the police concrete evidence of their crimes.
Lee: Bruv, funny, innit—these people do crime, and then they film everything—drugs, cash, their whole criminal life. Then when they get arrested, the police seize their phone, and it’s all there—proper stupid—if they’re really stupid, they post it online.
Frank: Init, bruv, they call that video-snitching.
Lee: LOL.
