A joke that makes sense, but isn't funny enough so that normal people will laugh at it. The term comes from the Family Guy episode "Ocean's Three and a Half" where Two and a Half Men is being filmed in front of a live ostrich.

No one else other than that group will understand the joke and when they do, they will almost always not find it funny. They are usually jokes where "you had to be there" to even find it remotely funny.
