A ‘Ramadan Muslim’ is an informal term some people use to describe someone who only prays or visibly practices their religion (like wearing hijab) during Ramadan, but does not continue those practices for the rest of the year.
He doesn’t usually pray during the year, but during Ramadan he goes to the mosque every night — people jokingly call that being a Ramadan Muslim.

Get the Ramadan Lag mug."Ramadan effect" is the effect where the fasting month of Ramadan is more memorable (read: leave better / more positive impression, stand out brighter) than the other 11 months in the Islamic calendar. For example, if you're a Moslem born between 1965 and 1980, you would remember the things you do on Tuesday, April 2nd 1991 (a date that coincided with the fasting month of Ramadan) whilst waiting for the time to break the fast — better than any other memory throughout your entire lifetime.
If you're a Moslem born between 1965 and 1980, you surely remember Tuesday, April 2nd 1991, waiting to break your fast, much better than any other day. It must be Ramadan effect kicking hard at the time.
