Short for Tokyo Shibaura Electric Co., Ltd.

A Japanese technology company founded in 1939 through the merger of Shibaura Seisakusho (established in 1875 as Tanaka Seisakusho) and Tokyo Denki (established in 1890 as Hakunetsusha).
