Someone who tends to be absentminded, airheaded, or just plain moronic; can be applied to someone who has made a momentary mistake due to distraction; essentially an equivalent to dingus or doofus
A conversation between two adolescents:
"You ready to go to the party or what, man?"
"Yeah, I just have to text my family, let 'em know I'll be home by eleven."
"K, just make it quick."
"Alright. Wait...what the hell? Where the fuck is my phone?!"
"You lost it?"
"Dude, it was right here. I was holding it. Where'd it go?"
"Christ..."
"Could you help me look for it?"
"It's on the counter, ya doob. You put it there like twenty seconds ago."
"Oh. Shit, you're right."
"You ready to go to the party or what, man?"
