Beta

A pejoritive term used to refer to men who are viewed as weak, subservient, unsuccesful or exhibiting traditionally feminine characteristics. It is used almost exclusively by men who fit this description, but believe themselves to be strong, successful leaders, despite reality clearing suggesting otherwise. It is often used in response to a sound defeat in an intellectual exchange, in response to advocacy for gender equality, or as an involuntary expression of jealousy towards the "beta" in question.

Jim: Bill Gates is such a pathetic Beta.
Mike: He's a billionaire who revolutionized an industry by the time he was 30, you're 46 and you still live in your mother's basement.
