A common industrial PLC brand owned by Rockwell Automation. Infamous for forcing you to pay licenses for free software, and needs a whole filing cabinet of evidence to prove you own a license. This brand is also somehow one of the most leading brands in industrial control solutions.

Mechanical engineer: Hey man did you install the software for that PLC yet?
Electrical engineer: No because Allen Bradley won't verify my license.
Mechanical engineer: Ahh, mean old uncle Allen does it again.

To be an Allen means you were born funny and like to make people laugh. An Allen will give people a hard time, act selfishly yet be generous in other aspects, can't find the mustard bottle in the fridge but is the designated sniper in video games, has horrible nuclear farts that clears a room in half a second.... and lastly to be an Allen means to love your spouse forever and ever because no one else wants to be with an Allen.

Allen walks up to the fridge to get himself a soda and sits back down.
Wife, "You didn't anticipate my needs and get me one too? You're such an Allen."
Allen gets a soda and comes back with a chocolate bar to make it up to the wife before letting out a fart that will make her mad again.
