Roosevelt, the FDR Presidential Library & Eleanor Roosevelt National Site. The FDR HS grad. rate is well above the NY average. The HPCSD community has supported renovations to FDR’s auditorium, & athletic facilities with a track, turf field, seating, & press box. FDR offers engineering & computer based Project Lead the Way, AVID, 19 AP Courses, dual enrollment courses in Dutchess Community, & Marist Colleges, SUNY Albany & Career & Tech. Recent grads have been admitted to the US Naval Academy, Ivy & other Colleges and Universities, institutes & the Armed Forces.
FDR students receive recognition as National Merit Scholars & National Hispanic Merit Scholars, distinction in rich programs in Arts & Music, received All State, & All Area recognition, & in athletics with State Champs in Gymnastics & Skiing & MHAL & Section Champs.
Notable grads of FDR return to give back to FDR including Bill Duke, noted producer, writer, & actor, Olympic Silver Medalist & prominent business man Pat Manning, & Twitter CFO & West Point Graduate Anthony Noto.
FDR has chapters of the National Honor Society, International Thespians Society, National Art Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society, Rotary Interact Club & Varsity Club & are involved in Community Service hosting the Relay for Life, Blood Drives, annual musical performances for senior citizens & active in support of Claudio Cares.
