"Weaponized empathy" refers to the use of empathy as a manipulative tool for personal gain or to control others, rather than for genuine understanding or support. When someone does a simple task requested of them badly on purpose so they seem too incompetent to do said task, thus ensuring nothing is ever asked of them again.
