A CBT game is a subgenre of extremely difficult games, these games are generally considered grueling to play through in ways that may be mentally painful; usual examples include extremely slow or unfathomably difficult gameplay that can only be gotten through with sheer willpower and determination, loss of progress and potential randomness being extremely common.
