Boombox Effect

This very rarely occurs when you play the "Chicken Dance" in a very conveniently plain field with a single tree in the state of Nevada, optionally needs a dancer in the background. Approached by a man, you must push him to complete the objective, however this will result in your untimely demise at the hands of said man, named Hank J. Wimbleton. Fortunately, your legacy will result in 12 episodes that escalate from fighting Jeb (jesus but not really), to a sheriff, a clown who breaks the laws of physics seeking vengeance, and a demon.

At the time of writing, this currently has only been attempted once, with great success.
"12 episodes later...this was the result of 1 guy with a boombox, we call it the boombox effect"

The Blouse Effect

When a overweight male or woman wears an untucked oversized shirt. Occurs when the shirt hangs over the belly due to beer or in a rare occasion, cookies.

The opposite of the dun-lop effect which is when one's belly dun-lops over their belt. This can also be interpreted as being linked to the tire brand name "dunlop," as in rare occasions, the fat creates a tire-like illusion around the middle.
Look at the blouse effect on the grumpy man who eats too many cookies, sugar free of course.

Bloomberg effect

Named after Walter Bloomberg, a person on X/Twitter who tweeted false information on trump’s pause on tariffs. An effect that happens when the market briefly spikes after investors hear false information about something.
The first instance of the Bloomberg effect happened on April 7th, 2025 when an account by the name of “Walter Bloomberg” tweeted unverified information that trump would put a 90 day pause on tariffs with the exception of china. This caused Dow, NASDAQ, &, S&P 500’s stocks to briefly spikes after investors heard the news.

Misused Autopilot Effect

This effect happens when consumers of a product (such as DAIN App or especially Telsa Autopilot) incorrectly uses a product, and unknowingly damages the reputation of certain software or products. The most notable case is Telsa's autopilot, where people are negligent and recklessly drive and get into accidents, damaging the reputation and credibility of those consumer products from news outlets reporting on these incidents.
James: "Ugh, another case of the misused autopilot effect! I wish people would start paying more attention while driving!"
Adam: "Yeah, isn't negligent driving, like, illegal?
James: "It is. It really is."

Vsauce effect

When a video looks like it was created recently from the viewers perspective when compared to other media of present time but was actually produced with a larger time difference between it and the present. This is usually measured in the timescale of years. This is likely due to the specific area of discussion and the videos background which is used as our point of reference for determining its spot in the past not having a time specific aspect. These time specific examples we use involve trends such as fashion in relation to clothing and furniture which change often or trends in a media context which are included in the discussion involving an event occuring is their present time. In this case also the technology in cameras plays a role as from 2010 onwards camera quality improvements are not noticeable as we have reached a quality that exceeds the human eyes image quality. All these factors result in this effect as there is no telltale signs of the vidoes released date.
Wow, this video doesn't feel 10 years old, the Vsauce effect is trippy
