Get the Emomug. Emo is a genre of music, a type of pop-punk music, but with a softer, more mainstream and guitar-based sound. It is NOT a type of person/style, as more commonly thought. "Emo" people can be classified under "scene", which is basically the same thing.
Friend #1: "Did you hear My Chemical Romance broke up??!!"
Friend #2: "OMG, yes! I was so depressed when I found out... they were my favourite emo band."
Friend #1: "I know... I thought you should know." *frowns* "Have you heard of All-Time-Low? They're a pop-punk band, kinda like My Chemical Romance."
Friend #2: "Yeah, I've heard of them. Thanks ____!"

Get the Emomug. As sterotypical as Jocks, Goths, Punks, Gangsters, ect...just a bit more angsty. Seriously, who knew a definition could cause such an uproar??

Get the Emomug. 1. Despite what many people may think, emo is a genre of music
2. It can also be a synonym for scene kids
3. But most people refer to it as those goth kids who cut themselves, when really thats a pretty good name for them (no offense to you "emo" people)
4. Short for emotional

Get the Emomug. I see how many of you judge 'emos', and I'm sick of it. I mean, yes, some of them are just attention thirsty teenagers, but some are not.
"Emos" are people who would rather feel physical pain rather than emotional pain. I know it sounds stupid, but as a teenager, we all grow up differently and feel things in so many different ways. To one person, fumbling over a sentence for a moment is nothing, but to another...it could be something they think about all day, full of regret. I agree, that that is overly sensitive, but it's just they way some people are. There is no reason to hate on them.
Just let people be who they are and don't stereotype.
