sitting on a couch

It happens usually when there's nobody around and you're in a dark room. Most likely, soon after you sit on the couch you will ask "Helloooo?" to make sure truly nobody is in the room. On occasion, someone will crack up laughing at your stupidity and give away their hiding place.

Example 1:

Person 1: "I'm just going to sit on this couch now.....helloooo?"

Person 2: "......HAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAH"

Example 2:

Person 1(on the phone): Yo man, I'm sitting on a couch right now. ... wait up,...hello???

Person 2: (on the other line): "ok then.."

Person 3(hiding): "AHAHAHHAHA YOU'RE SUCH AN IDIOT"

Couch Awareness

Simply being conscious of your current status of sleeping on a couch.

Jimmy flew in from college and was staying at his parent's house. The fact that he folded his blankets and put on a pot of coffee in the morning showed great "couch awareness" on his part.

or,

Jenny kicked Tom out of bed and his couch awareness made it hard for him to get some sleep.

and

Johnny passed out again while playing Halo, but thanks to his keen "couch awareness" he was able to get up and perform an EMRT (early morning rack transfer).

Person who spends too much time licking a female's private parts that he/she gets no work done and is consequently failing at work/school. The person doing this would have their chin on the couch.

"That guy is always failing his courses because he spends all of his time licking box. He's a couch chin."
