Irish American

Someone who is, in the majority of cases, not actually Irish at all. To be Irish, you have to be born in IRELAND. Its a relatlively small Island off the coast of the UK for those who don't know...

This whole identity seems to be popular amongst people who seem to be attracted to aligning with and relating to a nationality that is often seen to be; a minority, hard done by, repressed, and most importantly of all, WHITE. Yes, that is why it is regarded by some to be attractive to be strongly linked to this diaspora, YOU ARE HARD DONE BY, AND WHITE!!!!!!!!!! amazing! That, in my opinion, is why so many people want to be an Irish American, for them it is much better than being 'Mexican' or 'Black'. You're just American, get over it.

Well, im irish american me... Yeah and proud. Wait, can you put the subtitles on for this irish accent on the tv here? yeah, my great great grandma came to the US from Ireland in 1802. Her maiden name was Chan.

shannons irish pub

An awesome pub, on 175 Carlton Street in downtown Winnipeg. They have good food, and Guinness for $6.25/pint. So pretty inside. It's a good place to hear some good local music and get hammered with your friends. And the guys seem to like the waitresses short short little kilt skirts.

The descendants of Spanish-Armada-era marriages between shipwrecked Spanish sailors and the women of the island that they nearly invariably washed up on, Ireland. They had no practical way to return to Spain (due to a complete lack of a large enough vessel to sail the north atlantic), and therefore lived out the remainder of their lives on the emerald isle. Their multiracial children had skin of a darker hue than the often pale Irish, and in accordance with the notoriety of Irish racism, these children were labeled "Black Irish" and often found themselves to be outcasts. Centuries of generational breeding have pretty much eliminated any noticeable difference between those with Black Irish blood and those without.

Juan O'malley is Black Irish.
