When someone needs to get from one side of the T.V. to the other while others are playing. The person waits for that one second when the players stop, and quickly dashes across.

*1st down starts*
Person Dashing: Crap, i forgot my phone.
Player 1: *Throws the ball to wide receiver*
Player 2: *Tackles wide receiver*
Person Dashing: *PERFECT MOMENT DASH*

This "came across my dash" or "this crossed my dash" usually refers to LinkedIn, Facebook, reddit, tumblr, or another website "dashboard" that shows updates from those you follow. Sometimes it simply means that the item they're sending you came across their computer screen in general, kind of the new electronic "came across my desk".
