A framework revealing how we mistake transient circumstances for permanent structures, or local conditions for universal laws. Fooled by Circumstances Theory shows how we attribute outcomes to inherent qualities (skill, character, destiny) when they are actually products of specific situations. The successful are not necessarily better; they may just be in favorable circumstances. The failed are not necessarily worse; they may be victims of circumstance. We are fooled when we ignore the power of context, seeing only individuals and their choices.
Fooled by Circumstances Theory "He succeeded, so he must be brilliant. She failed, so she must be lazy. Fooled by Circumstances: ignoring that he had family wealth and she had none, that he had connections and she had none. We see people; we miss the circumstances that make them. Circumstances fool us, and we never even notice."

sircumstances

Refers to da unique/particular conditions at a given period in a dude's life.
I may not be so financially-successful or dashingly-handsome as some of the other guys in my area, but at least I have the basics like a home, vehicle, and food on the table, so I guess that's pretty good sircumstances "taken all around".

Circumstantial invite

When someone is invited to something on an underlying circumstance. Meaning the person additionally invited was not originally invited. Could also be considered a “pity invite.” Is usually close to last minute and aimed at lessening the cost of the trip for people already going. Always decline the invites as a sign of asserting dominance—if you weren’t originally invited then your presence isn’t truly desired.
“Do you want to go to the beach house with all of us next weekend? Two of the eight people backed out, so we have two extra spots”

“Idk man, sounds like a circumstantial invite.”
