A liberal city like Portland (Oregon), Seattle or San Francisco, will be a perfect example of a modern,liberal, littered tyrannical wasteland.
Since crime isn't included in the 3 plagues of social work, Chicago and New York City are not in my definition of littered tyrannical wasteland, at least not for now.

A concrete wastland may also refer to a very large paved concrete area, or a city/area with little to no greenery.
Big chinese cities, often resemble concrete wastlands, almost like deserts, that stretch for tens of kilometers on end.
