Mary-Sue mothership

The Mary-Sue mothership takes on the same concept of Mary-Sue (or Gary-Stu, depending on the case), but this term stands for both the Mary-Sue and the Suethor who created the Mary-Sue in question.

In this case, however, the 'pairing' between the Mary-Sue and the canon character will have gathered a club of fans who follow the Suethor's every art or literature featuring the Mary-Sue and canon character, of whom would, 99.9% of the time, be turned OOC (out of character).

The Suethor's avid fan club becomes very loyal to the Suethor, giving the Suethor art gifts featuring the Mary-Sue in scenes with the canon character in their own artistic style.

Mary-Sue motherships are more than likely to be found at DeviantART, but some Suethors show off the work of their followers at Photobucket or other image site.

If there is ever a setting where a Gary-Stu character is involved, it is termed the "Gary-Stu Death Star."

The numerous images featuring the Mary-Sue and canon character fighting against the world or having babies can be termed "Mary-Sue motherload."
"Holy crap, I just spotted another Mary-Sue mothership. M-S MOTHERSHIP! TWELVE O'CLOCK!! IT'S HEADED RIGHT FOR US!!"

At the very heart of a Mary-Sue mothership is an insecure individual who is angsty and only wants to elope with a towdally osm fictional character who will marry them, give them babies, and live happily ever after. The End.

Mary-Sue

A gorgeous, athletic, talented and intelligent girl who has every man on earth chasing after her. Even though she is beautiful, she will deny this. Almost always on the good side. If not, she's that overpowered hottie on the other side. Unusually attractive, and is related or in a relationship with any Canon character.
So perfect that it's very annoying.

Used most commonly in RPGs, Fan Fictions etc etc.

Her male counterpart is Gary-Stu or Marty-Stu.

WARNING If you character is named Mary Sue but does not have these traits, the name does not exactly matter. It is okay to give you character the name, Mary Sue.
Fan-fiction writer:
Her name is Celestia Destiny Raven Violet Shimmer Moondancer. She has long raven black hair and beautiful pale skin. Her eyes are a sharp emerald but they change to a glistening red when she is mad. They change blue when she's happy too! She's very curvy and has the best taste in fashion. However she denies all of this and in such a cute, bashful way. She was such a talented witch, that the second she was born, Voldemort hissed in agony. She is sent to Hogwarts at age 6 and secretly trained by Dumbledore until she is old enough to go to Hogwarts. She then gets Draco Malfoy and half of the male population in Hogwarts to go after her. When Voldemort appears and asks her out, she refuses but shakes his out of pity. Then he turns good and we all live happily ever after. The End.

Mary Sue

The type of character that is perfect in every way possible. Here's an example of a Mary Sue:
- Young, probably immortal
- Everyone loves them
- Always does everything without flaw
- Probably has magical powers
- Might be a hybrid (often crap like "half demon, half wolf, half princess, half human" because princesses are totally not human /s, and the character is probably written by an 8 year old that doesn't know about the term quarters)
- Has like 6 people after her
- Most likely female
- Only flaws are "clumsy" or something similar
Boom. There you have your very own Mary Sue/Gary Stue.
