One should **never** make "Aprilday" distress-transmissions -- no matter WHAT the date --- since not only may it needlessly consume valuable resources and panic rescue-workers, but such "crying wolf" shenanigans can also cause emergency-response personnel to then incorrectly ignore legitimate requests for help, since they will merely think, "Here we go again" if said completely-genuine call comes in at around that date. It's actually happened in the past, where rescue-workers have impatiently refused to respond to a real call for help because "they thought it was just an April Fool's joke".
