The cringe effect is caused by the overuse of the word “cringe” to the point where the user becomes “cringey” themselves.

Person 1: “Bro thats so cringey!!!”
Person 2: “Im afraid your friend has succumbed to the cringe effect, its too late for him.”

(n) noun: A life threatening condition often endured by a fraternity brother, in most cases after being appointed to the “Pledgemaster” or “New Member Education” position, in which said member puts on copious amounts of weight and becomes a complete asshole.

Lumity Effect

Lumity is an effect in a relationship where the "sunshine" character and the "moon" character switch personalities while spending time together. This effect can be in a romantic manner or a platonic manner.

Lumity is a famous ship/couple in the tv series The Owl House. The main character, Luz, is very happy and optimistic making her the "Sunshine" character, and her girlfriend, Amity, who is angry and grumpy making her the "moon" character. As the show progresses into season 3 their personalities have changed, the main character being grumpy while her girlfriend is happy.

-Elle and Joel have changed personalities.
-Yeah, they are experiencing the Lumity Effect.

When a band's most successful song (usually not they're best) becomes they're only known song among non fans.

Joe: "Hey what's your favorite Metallica song?"
Alex: "Oh you know Enter Sandman."
Joe: " Really? I think Fade to Black or Master of Puppents is better."
Alex: "I've never heard those ones."
Joe: "The Enter Sandman Effect." *sigh*
