It contains of 3 things: Tumbling, stunts, ands dance. You will have to be able to do the jumps. There is school cheer and all-star cheer.

While cheerleaders, as well as some other, seemingly biased, definitions on this site will argue otherwise, it is typically not considered a sport due to its usual inability and impracticality as a competitive activity.
While it remains physically taxing, and requiring rehearsal, these are not the fundamentals to the definition of a sport, which is based on it's competitive nature. There are some cheerleading competitions in the world, though that makes up roughly 15% of the cheerleading world, while the rest remains focused on entertainment, motivation, and overall appearance while preforming.
