Hod Carrier

Some one providing support to a more skilled worker.

The term comes from the construction industry. A hod is a three sided box to carry materials to a mason. The less skilled worker carries material in a hod to the skilled worker.

Expanded to other jobs and professions "hod carrier" would be helping a more silled person complete a task.

I did not have an important role in the trial. I was a hod carrier for the trial attorneys.

a big warship that replaced the battleship class near the end of WWII. aircraft carriers serve as mobile airbases so a country which owns one of those can perform airstrikes on targets on the other side of the world even if they dont have a airbase nearby. usually escorted by destroyers and cruisers aswell as frigates and submarines in a carrier group.
