A reference to the african american actor Billy Dee Williams and his cool calm,demeanor. You may know him from such movies as Mahagony, Batman,Forty commercials, Undercover Brother and the Ladies Man. Keeping it Billy Dee is the act of staying cool and calm, especially in relation to women.

Dan- "I dunno dog I'm really worried about this date"
Ryan-"Listen homie, just keep it Billy Dee and you'll be ballin this girl in no time."

someone who gives away the ball in the dying moments of a game.

After catching the getting the ball on defence I attempted to lob an inside pass, I missed judged the distance of my pass and instead threw a Billy give-us-a-try Slater as the ball was intercepted and the mighty Kiwis scored an easy try in the corner to win the game.
