Reddit Defense

A tactic where someone intentionally provokes, annoys, or emotionally baits another person—often through smug debate, passive-aggressive remarks, or “just asking questions”—until that person snaps. The instigator then plays the victim, using the outburst to discredit or shame the person they pushed too far.

Basically: you poke the bear until it bites you, then act shocked and sue the bear.
“He kept correcting her every sentence and questioning her tone. When she finally yelled, he said she was 'emotionally unstable.' Classic Reddit Defense.”

“She baited him into a rant and recorded just the angry part to make it look like he was unhinged. Straight-up Reddit Defense move.”

Reddit

A place where the CEO (Steve “F*ck you” Huffman) is so rich and caught up in his own mind that he shoots the website in the foot over Ads.
I went.. I mean I tried to go on Reddit, but after the Reddit Blackout, there wasn’t really a website left…

Reddit marketplace

The backdoors of Reddit, (NOTE: I didn't actually give a correct name so you won't immediately find it), this is a very easy to get to place that isn't often talked about on places on YouTube not because it's that bad just because you will lose money, this word describes types of subreddits that include gore, drugs, pedofelia, wierd fetishes, but the most common is porn, an average redditor doesn't like to admit this but the reason most people go on Reddit is to look at rule 34 of different video game characters or find uncensored versions of animations, I'm convinced that at least 30 percent of Reddit is like this,

reddit

Reddit is a discussion forum (NOT "social media"; they are two different things, and discussion forums predated social media by several decades) that COULD be a nice place to hold interesting conversations about any number of topics, if it were run by people who had a clue about how to maintain order, but since it is not, it is a playground for adolescent bullies and bitter male virgins, who quash dissenting views with mass downvotes even though the rules say that this is not what the downvote is for (but nobody listens, and the moderators don't enforce this), the worst kind of racists, misogynists, homophobes, transphobes, and just general sociopaths that you will ever come across, power-tripping subreddit mods who think they're God because they run a tiny little corner of the Internet, and where the idiot that you're arguing with might literally be 14 (this is not even hyperbole; they actually let minors use the site, even places like /r/sex that minors should DEFINITELY not be posting in).
There's a subreddit called /r/Negareddit that supposedly calls out all of the rest of Reddit's horrid tendencies, but in reality it's not even much better or different, people in that sub engage in all the same old bullshit too.
Even subs pertaining to topics that you like and are interested in, are probably not worth participating in, because of the people there.
Honestly, the only good thing on Reddit is the very prolific amount of user-submitted porn.
Go to Reddit if you want to be called an asshole in 67,735 different ways within an hour no matter what you say, observe some of the worst specimens that humanity has to offer, and have your very character called into question by people who have never felt the touch of a woman, but if you actually want to have a mature, logical discussion about anything, you're going to have a bad time.

cooking reddit accounts

Cooking a reddit account is the act of making a fake account on reddit long before it's needed, by intermittently posting and commenting to lend credibility to the account when it's eventually put to use. Accounts can be created with the final purpose in mind already, or old or purchased accounts can be repurposed to become sock puppets.

Reasons someone might cook an account in advance include the ability to influence discussions, express controversial opinions without being immediately dismissed as a biased party (like paid or volunteer supporters who promote specific agendas, such as Israeli hasbara trolls that are paid or volunteer to astroturf support on social media to make it appear that their position is more popular than it really is), or share fabricated content that might be met with greater scrutiny if posted from a newly created account (such as individuals who cook accounts to share fake UFO videos they've made, disguising them as authentic recordings by ordinary people).

The difference between cooking an account and the expression "sockpuppet account" lies in the fact that cooking specifically involves the pre-planning of false engagement on an account over a period of time, whereas a sockpuppet account applies to any account being used for deceptive purposes.

The term "cooking" is derived from the act of preparing food over a period of time before it is ready.
"I posted that UFO video we made on the subreddit but everyone knew it was fake right away because the account was too new. So this time, I decided to try cooking reddit accounts, and spent the two months adding random comments and posts every few days. Hopefully when I post this new video they will be a lot less skeptical!"
