Word used generally by African American and Hispanic people around the Carribean, that white people(that I encounter) try to steal and use for themselves(what else is new?) and it refers to a term of endearment. The common misconception is that the word is used racially but in fact it is just like calling someone Bro.

Get the Nigga mug.The word nigga comes from the derogatory term “nigger” which means ignorant person. However black people have turned it to a positive word to call their homies/friends. Should never be said by a white person because since whites were the ones who made up the word nigger in the first place them saying nigga makes the word lose it’s meaning. This word is very powerful for African decents because it shows we can take a word that used to hurt us and demean us and turn it into a powerful word that is now positive to us and to call our black brothers and sisters to remind them we are powerful.

Todays stands have changed and as such the term should not be used loosely but shpuld be rebranded. when this word is used as only a term of endearment only then can racism truly end. -RotaryWorx
