A common bet done in Middle school or High school when idiot men do a little of manly toughness when getting the affections of really pretty girls. For example, a commmon gentlemen's bet sounds like:

Hey i bet i can get her number before you can.

idle bet

A bet made wherein both involved parties realize that the other side does not intend to carry out their end of the bet due to the (most likely) ludicrous circumstances outlined in terms of the wager.

Sometimes though, for making such a bet, the loser has to do something small for the winner... just for making a stupid bet.

'Dude, look at that girl'
'Damn she's hot. Too hot for you.'
'Whatever, I bet you I can get in her pants by the end of the month'

a month later
'where's my $20?'
'Dude, it was an idle bet, you know that!'
'Yeah, you're right. Kiss my ring.'
'What?'
'Kiss my ring. Or the $20, either one'
'agh...'

that wanna-be-gangstah-leadah rode me hard out on the street corner. Just to alpha-bet-ize his status he did this. He can't spell, but he knows damn well how to push and pull his social skills.

I bet you're fun at parties 

A retort signifying one of two scenarios based on context and speaker:

(1) A dejected loser who initially engaged in debate has ventured out of their depth, and now attempts to break for the intellectual fire-escape by using a phrase he himself has been the recipient of previously. This dejected loser will return to his parents' basement and continue to research the topic at issue in an attempt to prepare for the imminent rematch for which no one requested.

(2) A virgin, loser has attempted to engage a total Chad, who has not one solitary fuck to give, because this Chad is concerned with the important things in life like: partying, recreational drug abuse, and disrespecting women. The Chad uses the ironic retort, and with good authority. This Chad is the fiesta and everyone knows it. The dejected loser will return to his parents' basement and cry.

Virgin Loser:" . . . and that is why the Flash would kill the Hulk everytime they fought. Honestly, it's embarrassing you even thought he stood a chance."

Defeated Virgin Loser: *visibly sweating and mentally panicking* "Pssshh. Yeah. Pssshhh. Right. W-w-well, I bet. . . I bet you're fun at parties!"

Virgin Loser: "Chad why do you like Skrillex. He's not even a real musician, like Megadeath or Anthrax. I mean, can Skrillex even play guitar, much less shred like James Hetfield/Buckethead/Steve Vai/..."

Chad: *never breaking eye contact with the captain of the cheer team* "I bet you're fun at parties."

donk bet 

putting a c-bet in on the flop or later streets in community card poker games with little or no thought to flop texture or hand strength.

I had AK offsuit and the board came down 8-2-10, I just threw a donk bet.

Haigy Bet 

A large accumulator consisting of short odds ranging from 1/2  1/1000 with a maximum stake per line of £15. When placing a haigy bet the total accumulated odds must amount to no larger than 4/1 and upon losing the bet you have the license to moan for 24hours.

An example of an haigy bet might be;

1/3 Monaco
2/9 Rangers
1/5 PSG
1/2 Ajax

Mega bet 

An event that is so good it is not just a bet but a mega bet. Only used on rare occurrences when the situation obviously deserves such a title.

Person 1: "Yo the buhl is gonna get us a case of natty tonight"
Person 2: "That's a mega bet"
