The basic procedure is to drop your hand down straight down in a loose fist so your palm and fingers have enough opening to accept an object. Once the object is in hand, one quickly moves their hand from left to right in a rapid, deliberate manner. The issuer of the Vermilion Handshake is not to make eye contact with the other individual - that process is the Aggressive Vermilion Handshake and won't be covered in this module.
