someone who baby rages. they spend a lot of money on women and in return get a hug, not that they wanted anything, but when they go home they cry like a baby, this is where the phrase babyraging comes from. a simp may also find a women and copy their interests automatically just for them to continue liking them and the affection to become increased.

He throws money at her, defends her all the time and would probably die for her, but she still doesn't care.
But a man who just respects women is not a simp. That's a very wrong use of the word.
