Luigi's clothing is like his brother's: overalls, gloves, shoes, a longsleeve shirt, and a hat with an 'L' on it. However, he wears green, not red. He is quite different than Mario physically. While Mario is short and chubby, Luigi is tall and lean. He also jumps higher than Mario and is better liked by fans. Luigi is a mixed bag. He has no trouble joining his brother to fight Bowser and rescue Peach, but is often shown as a coward in other games, such as Luigi's Mansion, the first game to have Luigi as the hero. In that game, Luigi battled ghosts with nothing but a vacuum to save Mario.
Luigi is famous for living in his brother's shadow. He is usually the 'second player', and isnt even in some games. In fact, Luigi usually gets treated unfairly. While Mario gets kisses and cake, Luigi gets nothing. Luigi stayed Mario's sidekick until an announcement from Nintendo in 2013.
