External locus of control

It's called "NOT BEING A SOLIPSIST."
Hym "That's literally all an external locus of control is. The absence of solipsistic delusion."

External Problem Solver

No we are not taught that you lying piece of shit.
Hym "We are not taught that. You are still trying to internalize external problems. I do not feel shame. Some people want me to feel shame and are actively shaming me. The harassment and surveillance is occurring and is being used to make easier the theft of my property. That isn't me being an external problem solver. This is 'all roads leading to Rome for the therapeutic system of control?' Are you being stalked and harassed in a manor that mirrors the delusions of reference commonly associated with schizophrenia? Then, SOMEHOW, the solution is 'giving a therapist control of how I interpret information and DOING NOTHING about that... And instead of doing what they did about sexual harassment and SUING THE PLACES ALLOWING IT AND FIRING THE PEOPLE WHO DO IT... I just need to let this lying retarded piece of shit tell me how to delude myself about what's happening. We need to murder these fucking therapists (in a video game). Murder them (in a video game) until they do it right. They do not need to live."

efernance

The feeling of your life slipping away as you die or almost die, especially in a positive and freeing way. Common in suicidal people when they attempt to take their life.
As I was dying, I felt a sense of efernance, the sweet release of death.

The chaotic, messy, and uncontrollable factors from the real world that invade a controlled experiment and ruin its beautiful, clean data. They are everything the researchers didn't think of, couldn't control for, or actively ignored to make their study publishable. If a lab study shows that people in a quiet room perform better on puzzles, the External Variables are the screaming kids, the pounding hangover, and the constant phone notifications of real life. They are the reason why a drug that works in 100% of carefully selected mice only works in 30% of chaotic, genetically diverse, cheeseburger-eating humans.
External Variables (Scientific Research) "That study saying productivity apps change your life controlled for every Internal Variable. But they didn't account for the External Variables: your battery dying, your boss adding more work, and your cat walking across the keyboard. The lab is a lie; the External Variables are always waiting outside the door."
