Typically found on Internet discussion forums where the unsuspecting user clicks on the aforementioned link, cleverly disguised as something pertinent to the non-Rick-related discussion at hand.

The exact origins of this practical joke and subsequent naming are unknown but "rickrolling" first appeared early to mid May in 2007.
