Today Notice

When giving your employer notice of your resignation, you kindly offer a "today notice" rather than a "two week" notice.

Disgruntled Employee: "On 'Bring Your Child to Work Day' my boss told me that he didn't care that it was raining, I still had to walk 6 blocks to pick up some cupcakes for his fat kid."

Friend: "What did you do?"

Disgruntled Employee: "I turned in my 'today notice.' I quit today."

It's a Japan thing. Apparently, it's from anime. Senpai means someone you're suppose to look up to. (in this case a senior or a teacher if you're thinking of that chick from Misao who liked her teacher.) All in all 'Notice Me Senpai' means you want someone older than you to like you.

Person 1: "Give up, he doesn't like you."
Person 2 (to their senpai): "NOTICE ME SENPAI!"

Notice Me Status

A Facebook or Myspace status designed specifically to make yourself look cool or to have someone notice you in order to get them to talk to you; specifically someone who wouldn't normally do so. Such status' are too long, too descriptive and include inside jokes that no one understands.

People may include 1. a crush, 2. someone older, 3. someone you're mad at but don't want to directly confront, 4. no one in particular
