Jindie

Abbreviation for Japanese Independent music that is NOT Visual Kei. Japanese musicians, typically in the rock genre, that are on small or self-created music labels. Or often times they are not signed to any record label at all. Many bands refer to the period before they were signed to a major record label as their "indie period".

The opposite of Jpop.

I got tired of Jpop lately, so I started listening to more Jindie bands.
