A type of salty pastry made of corn flour. Sometimes contains chicken, green sauce, red sauce or mole. And wrapped in corn or banana leaves.

Singular: "Tamal"
Plural: "Tamales"

Tampalpuke

1. :Tampal-puke is a nickname for a small type of sole that fits snuggly in a man’s palm. The term is widely used, accepted, and not considered lewd in many parts of the Philippines.

a Caviteño term that can refer to a flounder or any flat fish except for the "sap sap".

A research study on coral reef conservation by the Palawan State University in Puerto Princesa also lists "tampal-puke" as the local name for sole fish, a member of the flatfish family known to have an excellent taste when cooked.

2. :term originated from the sixth episode of the reality competition Drag Race Philippines, the local version of RuPaul's Drag Race. Eva Le Queen amused the judges as comedian Rufa Mae Quinto by answering "Tampalpuke is Ariel's bestfriend".
