Brent Smith- lead singer
Zach Myers- guitarist
Barry Kerch- drums
Eric Bass- bassist (he also plays piano)
Shinedown is a hard rock band originally from Florida, but Brent was originally from Tennessee (idk about the others). They used to have a different guitarist and bassist, but that was before I was born. They have seven albums as of 2023. My favorite is the sound of madness.

They write amazing songs that are very meaningful. A major theme in their songs is mental health. They strongly advocate for mental health and they all have had their own struggles. Brent struggled with drug addiction, but he is better now. Eric had clinical depression, but I think he’s doing better now. I think Barry had bipolar disorder, but he seems to be working through it and is a lot better now. And Zach said that he would be in a really dark place if it wasn’t for the band. Shinedown has saved many people, including me. I found them almost a year ago, and I was going through a really bad time. Shinedown has helped me out a lot. You should listen to them. Some of my favorite songs are:

- if you only knew
- GET UP
- 45
- cut the cord
and many others.
