After Nicki Minaj said on one of her "Queen Radio" shows that her new era will take her fans to "Gag City", the phrase was popularized on Stan Twitter. It combines the LGBTQ+ slang term "gag", meaning "to be heavily excited or amused", with city. Gag city is now regarded as a fantasy land filled with all things pink, Barbie, and Nicki Minaj. Many Twitter users make Nicki Minaj-themed-AI images of this place and have special accounts dedicated to creating the lore of Gag City.
