Doing it for the notes

When someone acts completely different to how they actually are to ‘impress’ people online. Their posts are like blanket statements that loads of people can relate to, or show a particular trait or angle of sympathy that people are fond of, for the sole purpose of getting notes. Hence, doing it for the notes.

“He really has a tough life…this kid has 6 types of cancer, no parents, AND he does charity work for animals. I bet he’s a really cool guy!”

Doing a 'Bally'

When someone is doing a 'Bally' they are generally not coming into work because they have a minor sniffle - or in most cases there is nothing wrong them at all, and they had simply heard another person in the work place was unwell, and decided to jump onto their bandwagon.

Person 1 - "Have you seen Woody today?" - Person 2 "He's not in, he's doing a 'Bally'"

A hair-do that is extremely rare. a desperate attempt for people to demonstrate how unique and different they are.very common within 'indie' teenagers.

person 1:has that lad shaved half of his hair off or am i seeing things?
