Morality

A pseudo-philosophical subject which lays at the intersection of ethics and religion. Its primary concern is to take ethical non issues concerning personal choice and masquerade them as the cause of all social ills while ignoring the underlying problems of any given social negative.

Morality is the mask of an artificial enemy.

Example:
Religious fundamentalist: Damn those hippies and those queers, with their drugs and buttsecks; they're the reason for everything wrong in this country!! We didn't have problems like this back in my day when everyone listened to God and followed his morality!!!

Rationalist: No, back in your day you had unfair labor practices and sweat shops to contend with. The root of most of our problems are rooted in poverty and ignorance. If we regulated drug sales gangs would dissolve for lack of income. The revenue generated by drug sales and gay weddings could provide quality education and health care for everyone.

n. One's personal definition of and resolve to practice the proper behavior to exhibit, both in public and private. This may be determined by one's religion, philosophy, carnal desires, or lack thereof.

Propaganda is usually an attempt to to spread one's moral values to others.

Censorship is usually an attempt to impose one's moral values upon propaganda.

Moranism

A method of grading, originally instituted by Patrick Moran. It is not based on the 100-point system, but rather on a point per question on a particular assignment, project, or examination. For each incorrect answer, a "point," or letter grade, is taken off of the final grade. For example, a 25/25 would be an A+, a 24/25 would be an A, a 23/25 would be an A-, etc. The grade can go below the normal F standard. The next letter grade after F would be, "G." Usually, it stops there, mainly due to the fact that no one has ever gotten below a "G" grade. The system is rarely used due to its extreme nature, and when used by the teacher, it is only conducted on very rare occasions.
