Mandela Effect

Named after the famous Nelson Mandela this conspiracy theory Is when a large group of people remember something being a certain way, but when people go back and look at it, it has changed or is gone in this universe with no reasoning other than "it's always been like that"

Two popular theories on the Mandela effect are:
Time Travel- Some believe that times travels have come back to the past and changed one little thing that ended up changing many other things kinda like the butterfly effect Think about it the future has already happened so even if time travel is say 1,000 years in the future it has already been done which means time travelers are going back to the past which is our present and changing little things.

Parallel Universe- Others believe that sometime in the last decade or two the world went through a black hole or that our "original world" ended and now we are in this Parallel Universe where something changed in the process of switching or going through the black hole. (most think in the years 2000 or 2012 this happened cause many thought the world was gong to end)

Anita Loos effect

This refers to men having a preference for blondes, as well as the supposed increased sales of magazines that feature a blonde on the cover. Named after Anita Loos, author and screenwriter, who wrote "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes."
We'll put a well-endowed blonde on the cover of next month's magazine and take advantage of the Anita Loos effect.

Mass Effect

"Mass Effect" is a euphamism for "The second best thing ever invented". The first being, of course, Mass Effect itself. If a person loves something very much, they may say it is Mass Effect. If they say this they mean that thing is the best thing ever invented since Mass Effect itself.
Guy: Oh, man, I really love Carrots."

Girl: Really? How would you describe your love for carrots?

Guy: I'd say Carrots were Mass Effect.

Girl: :O

The Wikipedia Effect

The Wikipedia Effect is the tendancy for inquisitive people to become caught in an endless series of pages on the popular open-encyclopedia, "Wikipedia", to which they are forced to read every single page they've opened.

This tends to happen thanks to Wikipedia's inter-linking model, which links important words in a particular article, to an entire article on that word. The trend can then easily cascade from there, ending in dozens of pages that a user finds interesting.

The Haysbert Effect

A new term coined by a great philosopher.

This is when someone THINKS Denzel Washington is the Black guy from All State Insurance commercials WHEN in fact he is not and the said person goes into a frenzy like state thus resulting in a statement being said such as "DUUUDE I THOUGHT THAT WAS HIM!".
Dennis Haysbert:"Are you in good hands?"

Person 1:*Stands up and spills cereal* What the HELL did Denzel Washington just try selling to me?...insurance?

Person 2:No, dude it's Dennis Haysbert! That guy from "The Unit".

Person 1:*Sits back down* Oooh!...wait...*Goes into shock*

Person 2:*Ignores friend spazzing on floor yelling* Damn, The Haysbert Effect...always making people spill cereal on my damn carpet.

Sam Pepper Effect

Trying to put out drama by starting more drama. Usually caused by people desperate to gain the upper hand in an argument.
Josh: Jim just called Nathan a hypocrite for pointing out that he's unoriginal and creatively bankrupt without actually arguing the point, opting to personally attack Nathan.

Jacob: Sounds like the Sam Pepper effect.
