donk bet

To place a bet in first position on the river in texas holdem with little or no value to be gained. This play is used as a bluff and a scare tatic, most likely resulting in additional bets gained at a latter time.

I had missed a draw and I led out on the river knowing I could not win this was a donk bet.

Double Donk

In a hand of poker, when two opponenets bluff wildly with no apparent logic, including the second donkey who actually calls a large bet with no significant hand, it is known as Double Donk. This results in results in table-wide stunnage, casting a shadow of diminished credibility on the both players for a minimum of 5 hands. The same vernacular can be applied appropriately in situations such as Triple Donk and Quadruple Donk, and MASTER DONKAGE. (meaning more than 5 donkeys completely donking it up with despite all-ins around the table, and no pairs whatsoever.)
