It is affection in the form of a cheek pinch with a firm twist . Its given to family members and loved ones. It’s something a lot of Italian families do when they greet each other.

When Franky came home from college, his mom and dad gave him the biggest koo koo nunu’s of his life. His cheeks were bright red from the love pinches.
