Originally came from the word Newbie, then was shortened to Newb, and ended up being spelled as Noob. Usually refers to a person that is so terrible at a videogame that he does not deserve to be playing it. Sometimes refers to a person who is just brand new to a game.

"No Jake don't get out of your Banshee when you're that high! You'll kill yourself!"
