The goth music genres are mainly Post Punk, Gothrock, Nowave, and Deathrock. It was originally founded in the United Kingdom, and some of the bands were Siouxsie Sioux and the Banshees, Bauhaus, and Joy Division for example. The goth music and fashion scenes were also popular in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand in the same time periods. Most of the people who liked goth music liked the spooky sounding music. Goth is mainly about the music, but there are two styles of goth; Trad Goth and Deathrock. Deathrock dressed in deathawk, tartan pants, leather jacket, and the like. Deathrock is also to describe one of the branches of goth music. Alien Sex Fiend is an example of a Deathrock band. Trad Goths liked their hair really teased up and liked to wear leather jackets, vinyl pants or skirts, and wore their favorite post punk, deathrock, goth rock, or no wave band shirt. The batcave was very popular place to go to for goths. Mainly goth music and fashion is a diy, so most goths went to thrift stores to get their clothes.
