The Tamr Law

The thesis stating that one obvious and preventable death is fated to happen before any obvious solutions, changes or reforms are enacted, ie. decapitation by ice skates when playing hockey and the introduction of neck guards to the sport.
Person 1: "Hey, do you remember that shaky pipe at the bottom of the apartment building that the landlord never fixed?"

Person 2: "Yeah! What about it?

Person 1: "Well, it finally busted and the valve domed someone on the head and killed him! And after that, of course NOW the landlord decides to fix it!"

Person 2: "How preventable. The Tamr Law takes another..."

Hutson’s Law

Also known as the 4x4 Rule.

When trying to figure out what a project will cost and how long it will take you take the worst case scenarios that you can possibly imagine for both time and cost. When you have those 2 numbers you then multiply them both by 4 and that will give you an accurate estimate of what the project will actually cost and how long it will actually take to complete.
Customer: it’s April. We were supposed to be done in January!
Contractor: Right.

Customer: This invoice is for $4000 and the estimate was for $1000!
Contractor: Right.

Customer: What the actual f%#k?!?!
Contractor: Hutson’s Law is scarily accurate.

Kindred's Law

A law based on a thought by Larry Kindred in 2016, which states that nothing ever happens without a reason for it's occurrence; there are no coincidences as everything is either a repeat of last events, or as a result of a catalyst.
Kindred's Law means you didn't just walk into me here. You knew I'd be here, didn't you?

Murphy's Law of Spares

"If you buy just one of something, you will surely break it almost immediately, but if you buy one or more "spare" items to have "just in case", your "initial" item will miraculously escape damage no matter how many mishaps you endure, and thus those duplicate items will merely gather dust in the garage or at the back of your desk-drawer."
I have always tried to handle objects gently and carefully, but due to extreme forgetfulness and physical/mental/emotional infirmities, I tend to "be rough on my stuff" --- sitting/stepping on unobserved items, blundering into objects as I'm groggily stumbling to the bathroom in the middle of the night, soiling items or spilling/dropping stuff, etc., and so I occasionally attempt to "prepare for the future" by acquiring spares of the types of items which I typically seem to damage or break; only prob is that just as soon as I do "lay in for a rainy day" like that, the "currently-being-used" object that I had been procuring said spares for NEVER SEEMS TO ACTUALLY SUSTAIN SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE, and so all of those extras that I'd carefully tucked away just "sit there for decades"... talk about a classic case of "Murphy's Law of Spares"!

Jursimprudence law

An internet argument law like Godwin's Law. It states that any person who tries to use a real-life degree in an unrelated argument loses the argument.
Having a Ph.D. in Biology might qualify you for a debate on Evolution, but you fail if you try to use it to show how much you know about Crossdressing.
