Regenny is short for regnerate, or regeneration. This comes after a long period of degeneration or gennying, living decadently, drinking, doing drugs, or engaging in otherwise declining behavior. Regeneration is actually a metaphorical mode through irony; only by reaching the proverbial genny bottom, can you begin to regenny and invent yourself anew.
